GAD1 and generalized anxiety disorder: In contrast, the tract within the right cingulum exhibited significant group differences across all segments (posterior region, GAD: 0.563 ± 0.062, HCs: 0.490 ± 0.093, F(1,81) = 12.79, PFDR < 0.001; middle region, GAD: 0.527 ± 0.081, HCs: 0.422 ± 0.107, F(1,81) = 19.40, PFDR < 0.001; anterior region, GAD: 0.413 ± 0.063, HCs: 0.312 ± 0.092, F(1,81) = 24.82, PFDR < 0.001), with patients with GAD showing higher FA values, particularly in the middle and anterior portion (Figure 2b).
