Given previous reports of ginsenoside Rb1 as a ferroptosis inhibitor with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties [13, 14, 23, 24], coupled with our findings establishing ferroptosis as a critical mechanism in IRI-induced AKI (Fig. 1), we investigated whether Rb1 could mitigate kidney injury through ferroptosis inhibition. Here, RB1 is linked to acute kidney injury.
