Bone marrow-derived cells (BMD- MSCs) deficient in suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) conferred protection against systemic Ang II-induced vascular dysfunction, thus further establishing the importance of bone marrow in hypertension by providing new insight into the functional effects of SOCS3 in vascular and bone marrow compartments [152]. The gene discussed is SOCS3; the disease is hypertensive disorder.
