In the binary logistic regression model incorporating these 16 indicators, depression (B = 0.773, odds ratio [OR] = 2.167, 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.075–4.366, p = 0.031) and the other four variables, including extrahepatic AIDs (B = 0.957, OR = 2.604, 95% CI: 1.308–5.185, p = 0.006), enlarged ALN (B = 0.719, OR = 2.053, 95% CI: 1.044–4.039, p = 0.037), level of ALB (B = −0.132, OR = 0.876, 95% CI: 0.777–0.988, p = 0.032), and level of PLT (B = −0.010, OR = 0.990, 95% CI: 0.983–0.998, p = 0.009), were identified as independent predictors of cirrhosis in patients with AIH (Figure 1A). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and autoimmune hepatitis.
