These data are consistent with previous reports linking APOE4 to disrupted mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative stress, and deficits in ATP production (Liang et al. 2021; Orr et al. 2019; Troutwine et al. 2022) in N2a cells as well as brain tissues, critical contributors to neurodegenerative processes in AD.
