Laboratory evaluation showed normocytic normochromic anemia (Hb 11.8 g/dL), chronic kidney disease (eGFR 49 mL/min/1.73 m2), and nephrotic syndrome, with proteinuria (urine protein-to-creatinine ratio: 158 mg/mmol; albumin-to-creatinine ratio: 21 mg/mmol), and low serum albumin (13 g/L). Here, ALB is linked to nephrotic syndrome.
