BRCA1 and ovarian cancer: Another multi-institutional UK study (ALDO study) looked at “real-world” experience and cost-effectiveness of ovarian cancer surveillance in 875 women with pathogenic germline BRCA1/2 variants who opted to defer risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO), and 767 (87.7%) women underwent at least one 4-monthly surveillance test.
