IFNG and neoplasm: To represent IFNγ signaling activity in tumor samples, we applied ssGSEA to compute signature scores for three established IFNγ-related signatures: the Hallmark IFNγ response and the T cell–inflamed GEP signatures, which include IFNγ-responsive genes involved in antigen presentation, cytotoxic activity, chemokine expression, and adaptive immune resistance (41, 42), and the ICR 20-gene signature, which reflects the strength of cytotoxic responses characterized by Th1 signaling, chemoattraction, cytotoxic function, and immune checkpoint–related genes (43, 90).
