The Human versus Analogue Insulin for Youth with Type 1 Diabetes in Low-Resource Settings (HumAn-1) is a randomized trial designed to generate high-quality evidence on whether long-acting analogue insulin reduces the risk of serious hypoglycemia and/or improves glycemic time-in-range (TIR) compared with human basal insulin regimens among youth with T1DM in Tanzania and Bangladesh [13,14]. This evidence concerns the gene INS and Hypoglycemia.
