In AD brains,TREM2 expression is reported to be decreased in multiple studies, whereas specific variants of TREM2 are flagged as the associated riskfactors in AD pathogenesis. Interestingly,in our study, TREM2 expression was found to be increased in two-hitmice compared with Env-hit mice (Figure F,N). The gene discussed is ERVW-1; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
