BTK and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia: While current treatments such as Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK) and B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2) inhibitors, as well as chemoimmunotherapy regimens (e.g., fludarabine or cyclophosphamide in combination with rituximab or obinutuzumab), have significantly improved response rates and overall survival, eventual relapse and intolerance to therapy remains inevitable in B-CLL treatment (4–6).
