A bibliometric analysis conducted between 2004 and 2023 on neuroinflammation in depression highlighted the NLRP3 inflammasome, microglia, tumor necrosis factor‐alpha (TNF‐α), and brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) as central components in the underlying pathogenic mechanisms (Shi et al. 2025). This evidence concerns the gene NLRP3 and major depressive disorder.
