These results align with landmark trials, such as EMPA-REG OUTCOME (Empagliflozin Major Prognostic Assessment to evaluate the Reducing Eventa- Glucose OUTcome in Cardiovascular Outcomes and other Major Events) [6], DAPA-HF [7,8], EMPEROR-Reduced [9,10], and DELIVER (Dapagliflozin Evaluation to Improve the Lives of Patients With Preserved Ejection Fraction Heart Failure) [11], which collectively support the cardiovascular benefits of SGLT2 inhibitors in both diabetic and non-diabetic populations.
