Patients with severe IBD were older (52.18 ± 12.01 vs. 45.03 ± 11.95 years, P<0.001) and exhibited significantly higher levels of inflammatory markers, including WBC (8.94 ± 2.00 vs. 6.99 ± 1.98 ×109/L, P<0.001), neutrophil percentage (64.99 ± 7.90% vs. 58.10 ± 7.82%, P<0.001), and CRP (14.93 ± 5.01 vs. 5.89 ± 5.01 mg/L, P<0.001).
