CD86 and necrotizing enterocolitis: Immunofluorescence analysis revealed that the coexpression level of F4/80+/CD86+ cells in the NEC group was greater than that in the control group (p < 0.05), and F4/80+/CD86+ expression was significantly increased by succinate supplementation in the NEC group, whereas LY294002 treatment reduced this effect (p < 0.05; Figure 8h,i).
