Sphingosine kinase 2 has been linked to a broad spectrumof biologicalfunctions, including cell survival, cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and senescence. Our prior studies havedemonstrated SK2 as an essential inducer of transformation in oralcancer cells and the xenograft tumor model. In addition, SK2 contributes to drug resistance in oral squamouscell carcinoma (OSCC) cells by enhancing DNA damage repair pathways. Here, SPHK2 is linked to neoplasm.
