In veterinary medicine, the role of PDGFR, particularly PDGFRβ, is gaining recognition as a therapeutic target, evidenced by its expression in canine malignant tumors such as hemangiosarcomas [15], AGASACs and thyroid carcinomas [16], and urinary bladder transitional cell carcinomas [17]. This evidence concerns the gene PDGFRB and thyroid gland carcinoma.
