Results have shown that mice with CCL4-induced liver fibrosis and modifications of specific genes like HNF4α, FOXAa2, FGF4, SMAD7 (all four were modified in MSCs from bone marrow), and SERPINA1 (from adipose tissue) revealed significant improvements, such as promoting the expression of NF-κb signaling and enhancing the anti-inflammatory and immune regulatory effects of MSCs (HNF4α). This evidence concerns the gene HNF4A and Hepatic fibrosis.
