In this study, serum samples collected from domestic pigs and wild boar before and at different time points after infection with a highly virulent ASFV (Armenia 2007) were analyzed for the levels of ASFV DNA, gDNA (beta-actin and NR6A1) and mtDNA (mtCytb), as well as for the presence of a cytoplasmic enzyme (LDH). Here, NR6A1 is linked to infection.
