The induction of apoptosis was evidenced by phosphatidylserine externalization using a well-known marker, annexin V. Among the tested compounds, CRC induced cell death to the greatest extent, and at the highest concentration, viability was only 1.08%, while the proportion of cells in late apoptosis was 88.34% and necrosis 10.52% (Figure 3C,c). This evidence concerns the gene ANXA5 and colorectal carcinoma.
