Consequently, in the study, the anthocyanin extract showed an improvement in the behavioral performance and a suppression of inflammatory markers such as phospho-NF-κB (p-NF-KB), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) as well as in astrocytes and microglia cells, which also participate in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease.
