These findings align with previous evidence indicating that polyphenols and flavonoids from citrus fruits and other botanical sources may beneficially modulate hepatic lipid metabolism and attenuate liver steatosis, primarily through activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and inhibition of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathways [34,50,63,64].
