Beyond these enriched pathways, we also identified several genes with established roles in regulating viral infections, such as poly (A)-binding protein (PABP) [45], ribosomal proteins (RPs) [46,47], remorin proteins [48], serine carboxypeptidase (SCP) [49], subtilisin-like protease (SLP) [50], protein phosphatase 2C family protein (PP2C) [51], aldo-keto reductase family member (AKR) [52], and plastid-lipid associated protein (PAP)/fibrillin family protein (FBN) [53]. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK6 and viral infectious disease.
