ATP5MK and lung carcinoma: Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (AGP) is an acute-phase protein synthesized by the liver and peripheral tissues in response to systemic inflammation.[8] Extensive research has established a robust correlation between AGP levels and the prognosis of various malignancies, including breast cancer,[9,10] lung cancer,[11] and melanoma,[12] as well as non-neoplastic conditions such as nephropathy[13] and sepsis.[14] Furthermore, AGP is a key immunomodulatory glycoprotein in reproductive health.
