On the other hand, the functional interplay between CaSR and PC2 further supports the idea that CaSR may represent a therapeutic target in ADPKD as suggested by our previous studies as well as by findings by other investigators [24], showing the beneficial effects of CaSR in reducing cyst enlargements in human ADPKD cells and renal cyst index in mouse models of ADPKD.
