GCG and Obesity: Pharmacological therapies (e.g., statins and fibrates for dyslipidaemia, insulin sensitisers such as metformin, and anti-obesity agents including orlistat and Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 [GLP-1] analogues) are often used as adjuncts, but raise concerns regarding adverse events, limited long-term safety data, and, in children, the appropriateness of early pharmacological exposure [35,36,37,38,39,40,41].
