After adjustment for age, DM, hypertension, systolic blood pressure, hemoglobin, albumin, phosphate, iPTH, and serum PAG—covariates that met the p < 0.2 criterion in univariable analysis—serum PAG remained independently associated with aortic stiffness (odds ratio [OR] = 1.903; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.171–3.094; p = 0.009).
