Some studies indicate that SIRT6 is lowly expressed in NSCLC, and its overexpression is associated with inhibited tumor progression [76,77,78]; however, other research suggests that SIRT6 is highly expressed in certain NSCLC cell lines [79], and high SIRT6 expression correlates with poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma, especially in patients with EGFR-mutated NSCLC [80,81]. The gene discussed is SIRT6; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
