WNT5A and breast carcinoma: Notably, overexpression of LRRN1 increased the protein levels of Wnt5α/β, which aligns with prior studies demonstrating that Wnt5α inhibits breast cancer progression (37) and blocks cell migration via EMT-independent mechanisms (38)—our study extends this by identifying LRRN1 as a novel upstream regulator of Wnt5α, a link that has not been established in previous Wnt5α-related breast cancer research.
