The triple transgenic mouse (3xTg‐AD) is a commonly used rodent model of AD that harbors familial human mutations amyloid precursor protein (APP Swedish) and microtubule associated protein tau (MAPT P301L), and a presenilin 1 knock‐in mutation (PSEN1 M146V) (Oddo et al. 2003; Winslow et al. 2021). Here, APP is linked to Alzheimer disease.
