Newborns from mothers with overweight and obesity have a higher expression of inflammation genes, TNF‐α, nuclear factor kappa‐light‐chain‐enhancer of activated B cells (NFkB) and Toll‐like receptor 4 (TLR4), in the cord‐blood than newborns from women with normal weight (Nakandakare et al. 2021). Here, TNF is linked to obesity disorder.
