NPPB and congenital rubella syndrome: HF‐associated markers such as Troponin T/I, Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP)/N‐terminal pro‐BNP (NT‐pro‐BNP), Soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST‐2), Galectin‐3, Hepcidin, and novel AKI‐associated biomarkers, including Kidney Injury Molecule (KIM)‐1, N‐acetyl‐beta‐D‐glucosaminidase (NAG), and serum Neutrophil Gelatinase‐Associated Lipocalin (NGAL) are broadly used to diagnose AKI and HF in CRS (Chung et al., 2022; Dutta et al., 2023; Endre & Pickering, 2014; Ricci et al., 2011; Sabbisetti et al., 2014; Zannad & Rossignol, 2018).
