A meta-analysis investigating the prognostic role of TAM in all stages of CRC, in the subgroup of CD163-positive tumors, including six articles (N = 1,550), reported a pooled HR showing a 40% increase in the risk of death at 5 years in CRC, but without reaching statistical significance (HR 1.41, 95% CI 0.83–2.39) (72). This evidence concerns the gene CD163 and colorectal carcinoma.
