It has also been found that miR-155 is highly expressed in PBMCs of patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer (NDBC), which is significantly correlated with tumor grade and ductal carcinoma type, further proving that the expression of IL-6 in PBMCs may be a biomarker for breast cancer in the early stage and inflammatory stage of the disease (Iranparast et al., 2022).
