Of note, alterations in FOXO3a and FOXO1 expression and activity have been associated with preeclampsia (Chen et al., 2021, 2020; Zhang et al., 2022a; Chen et al., 2018; Akkaya Firat et al., 2025), a pregnancy-related complication characterized by impaired EVT invasion and migration (Chen et al., 2021, 2020, 2018). Here, FOXO1 is linked to preeclampsia.
