ALB and ventral hernia: Multivariate logistic regression analysis confirmed that PDV [odds ratio (OR) = 11.09; 95% confidence interval (CI): 3.64–63.59; P < 0.01], serum albumin level (OR = 0.24; 95% CI: 0.11–0.41; P < 0.01), and age (OR = 1.11; 95% CI: 1.04–1.21; P < 0.01) were independent risk factors for the development of abdominal wall hernia in this patient population (Table 2).
