GNRH1 and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome: Compared with traditional ovarian stimulation protocols [e.g., gonadotrophin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) short protocol, GnRH-a long protocol, etc.], the GnRH-ant protocol has several advantages: 1) a shorter duration of ovarian stimulation, 2) a reduced dosage of gonadotropic (Gn) hormones, and 3) a lower risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) (11).
