The genomic locus harboring TRIM37 is amplified in several cancers—including neuroblastoma, breast, liver, and kidney tumors (Bhatnagar et al., 2014; Jiang et al., 2015; Meitinger et al., 2020; Miao et al., 2021)—and elevated TRIM37 levels contribute to chemoresistance (Chen et al., 2020; Nishibeppu et al., 2021; Przanowski et al., 2020; Tan et al., 2021; Yeow et al., 2020).
