SLC43A2 and cancer: Emerging therapeutic strategies such as inhibition of methionine transporters (e.g., SLC43A2, SLC7A5), blockade of key metabolic enzymes (e.g., MAT2A, AHCY, and MTR), depict methionine restriction, and checkpoint inhibitors (e.g., anti–PD-1, PD-L1), offer promising avenues to restore antitumor immunity and improve cancer treatment outcomes (Figure 6).
