The results of this study are consistent with these findings: The expression of BTG2 in tumor tissues are significantly lower than in adjacent tissues; the 3-year survival rate of the high BTG2 expression group is significantly higher than that of the low expression group (72.7% vs. 48.5%), and BTG2 is an independent prognostic factor for ESCC. This evidence concerns the gene BTG2 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
