As shown in Appendix A, Table A5, the WBC count at admission (11,953.5 cells/μL ± 9445.9 vs. 6383.6 cells/μL ± 4616.9, p = 0.039) and serum amylase levels (1300.6 U/L ± 791.6 vs. 609.4 U/L ± 514.3, p = 0.001) were significantly higher in ANP compared to AIP cases. Here, NPPA is linked to autoimmune pancreatitis.
