ZRSR2 and myelodysplastic syndrome: Interestingly, previous studies demonstrated that ZRSR2 loss of function, which is typical of MDS and other myeloid neoplasms, can impair inflammation and immune response pathways (i.e., Toll-like receptors signaling), providing a possible explanation for the dysregulated reaction to a bee sting that was observed in this patient, regardless of the specific hematologic diagnosis [8,16].
