STAM is a cytosolic signal-transducing adaptor molecule that regulates JAK-STAT signaling through its role in cytokine receptor transport and serves as a critical negative regulator of the cGAS-STING pathway, thereby restraining hyperactivation of the innate immune response (51, 52).In addition to STAM, these genes are critical in autoimmune diseases and Treg activation (53–55). The gene discussed is STAM; the disease is autoimmune disease.
