GFAP and neuromyelitis optica: Previous literature has reported cerebrospinal tract hyperintensity on brain MRI in various neurological autoimmune diseases, such as those associated with anti-LGI1, anti-Ma2, anti-GAD65 and anti-GFAP antibodies, as well as demyelinating diseases including neuromyelitis optica and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-associated disease (18) (19, 20).
