Our findings suggest that mitochondrial pre-autophagy increased after treatment (LC3I/II, F = 34.31, p < 0.0001; FIS1, F = 6.666, p = 0.0272), hippocampal mitochondrial fusion was enhanced after treatment (NeuN, p < 0.0001; c-Fos, p < 0.001; MFN1, p = 0.0006), and that treatment significantly improved the depression-like behavior of mice in the SPT (p = 0.0024) and FST (p = 0.0025). Here, RBFOX3 is linked to major depressive disorder.
