Specifically looking at adolescent/young adults (AYA) cancer patients, as opposed to CCS, several variants were associated with cardiac dysfunction: SLC10A2:rs731998, SLC22A17: rs4982753, HAS3:rs2232228, which was noted to be opposite to the findings in CCS, insinuating that the genetic influence on cardiac dysfunction in AYA may be different than those in childhood cancer survivors [40]. The gene discussed is SLC10A2; the disease is cancer.
