Chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) [16], a technique which indirectly probes chemical content and concentration via chemical exchange between water and the molecular environment, has been shown to be effective in determining IDH1 status [15, 17, 18] and other genetic [19] and molecular [20] markers in glioma, as well as in glioma grading [21, 22, 23].
