As for the other polymorphisms investigated in the same gene, an association with a lower risk of leprosy for the SNP rs9533634 (CCDC122) and susceptibility for the SNP rs3764147 (LACC1) was observed in the study carried out by Wong et al. [35, 36], which covered three populations (New Delhi, Calcutta and Mali) [36]. Here, LACC1 is linked to leprosy.
