The results from the present study demonstrated that Sal B, a polyphenolic compound extracted from Salvia miltiorrhiza, exhibited in vitro and in vivo anticancer activity against NSCLC, which was reflected in the inhibition of A549 cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and EMT, the downregulation of miR-23a-3p and metastasis-related inhibition of PTEN/PI3K/AKT signaling. Here, AKT1 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
