Surprisingly, the number of CD169+ macrophages in AIH was significantly positively correlated with alanine aminotransferase (ALT) (r = 0.7422, P < 0.0001), aspartate transaminase (AST) (r = 0.7054, P < 0.0001), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) (r = 0.6028, P < 0.0001), γ-glutamyl transferase (γ-GT) (r = 0.7040, P < 0.0001), total bilirubin (TBIL) (r = 0.5899, P < 0.0001) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) (r = 0.6156, P < 0.0001) (Fig. 1g–l). Here, SIGLEC1 is linked to autoimmune hepatitis.
